Universal Bag started the way many good stories do: in a small room in Bulawayo in the 1980s, with a few sewing machines, a lot of determination, and a simple 'to do list' — make really good bags.

Back then, the idea was straightforward: people need bags that actually last. Bags that survive school runs, long commutes, road trips, airport conveyors, and the general chaos of everyday life. So we got to work.

Fast forward a few decades and that small room has grown into a busy factory producing thousands of bags every month, supplying retailers, resellers and organisations across Southern Africa.

From cooler bags and lunch bags to backpacks, travel bags and promotional merchandise, our designs are built with practicality, durability and everyday use in mind. No gimmicks — just well-made bags that do their job properly.
